Denise and I visited the Jogya supermarket the other night, and to our great delight we discovered that virtually everything you could ever want is available for purchase, including many Western items. Click on the thumbnails below to see the larger images.

Whole squid - wet, sticky, and in an unrefrigerated plastic bag. Yikes.

Mmm.. maybe just melt that finger cheese on that squid, and wash it all down with the warm coffee… mmm.

I guess my tastes do not agree with Andy’s. I would agree that finger cheese leaves a lot to be desired.
